Paul?Harris?is?the?Victor?S.?Thomas?Professor?of?Education?at?Harvard?University's?Graduate?School?of?Education?in?the?United?States.?He?has?previously?served?as?an?editorial?board?member?for?prestigious?international?journals?such?as?Child?Development?and?Human?Development.?He?is?interested?in?the?early?development?of?cognition,?emotion,?and?imagination.?His?work?explores?how?children?navigate?the?challenge?of?trusting?others'?statements?in?areas?that?are?difficult?to?observe?firsthand,?such?as?history,?science,?and?religion.?His?most?recent?book,?Trusting?What?You're?Told:?How?Children?Learn?from?Others,?was?published?by?Harvard?University?Press?in?May?2012.?
保羅·哈里斯(Paul?Harris),美國哈佛大學教育學院Victor?S.?Thomas教育教授,曾擔任國際頂級期刊《兒童發(fā)展》《人類發(fā)展》等期刊編委。哈里斯教授專注于兒童認知、情感和想象力早期發(fā)展的研究。他的研究探討了兒童如何在難以親身觀察的領域(如歷史、科學和宗教)中,選擇信任他人的話語。著作包括《信你所聞:兒童如何學習他人》等。

Children’s?emotion?understanding?could?predict?their?social?adaption?significantly.?In?this?talk,?Professor?Paul?Harris?will?introduce?the?development?of?emotion?understanding?in?children?based?on?the?results?of?Test?of?Emotion?Comprehension?(TEC),?and?discuss?the?extent?of?cultural?variation?in?performance.
