Bellows globe valve, also known as bellows sealed globe valve or steam globe valve, adopts a double-layer bellows design and is welded to the valve stem to maintain stable operating performance, avoiding valve stem vibration caused by valve plug vibration. Under high temperature conditions, the bellows globe valve ensures that the valve stem does not come into contact with the medium, ensuring zero leakage of the valve stem. What is the difference between a bellows globe valve and a regular globe valve?

A、 Difference between bellows globe valve and ordinary globe valve

1. The bellows globe valve has no leakage and is relatively safe for use in high-risk media.
2. Ordinary globe valves are sealed with packing, and the valve stem and packing will slide, making it easy to leak (valve core) at low temperatures.
3. The bellows globe valve uses a sealed bellows that can be stretched and compressed instead of a packing seal, which can effectively prevent leakage caused by packing loss. Generally used for conveying media with strong permeability, such as valves on hydrogen systems, as long as the bellows are not damaged, there is generally no leakage. However, ordinary globe valves use packing for sealing, which is prone to leakage.

4. The opening or closing stroke of the valve stem of the bellows globe valve is relatively short, and it has a very reliable cutting function. Moreover, due to the proportional relationship between the change of the valve seat opening and the stroke of the valve disc, it is very suitable for regulating the flow rate. Therefore, bellows globe valves are very suitable for use as cut-off, regulating, and throttling devices.

B、 Which is better, bellows globe valve or ordinary globe valve

Bellows globe valve, also known as bellows sealed globe valve, is designed with automatic roll welding to form a metal barrier between the fluid medium and the atmosphere, ensuring zero leakage of the valve stem.

Compared with traditional globe valves, bellows globe valves have the following advantages:

1. Double sealing design (bellows+packing): If the bellows fails, the valve stem packing will also prevent leakage and comply with international sealing standards.
2. No fluid loss, reduce energy loss, and improve factory equipment safety.
3. Long service life, reduced maintenance frequency, and lowered operating costs.
4. The sturdy and durable bellows sealing design ensures zero leakage of the valve stem and provides maintenance free conditions.
5. The gas medium valve seat adopts PTFE soft sealing material to improve the sealing performance of this valve.

6. The valve seat with high temperature resistance ≤ 425 ℃ adopts a conical hard seal. Achieve zero leakage of airtight performance.

Special reminder: When using, we should maintain the distance between the bellows stop valve and the valve, and not let the bellows bear too much pressure. We should also pay special attention to the fusion of materials, preferably polymer materials that can withstand high temperatures. The corrugated pipe needs to undergo relevant evaluation and recording during welding.
